Williamsburg, KY – Indiana S3DA hosted the Indiana S3DA North Regional Indoor Tournament at Bass & Bucks Hunting and Archery Pro Shop in Wabash, Indiana. Approximately, 256 shooters and 11 teams participated in this Indoor 5-spot Tournament. It is remarkable to see the growth in Indiana over the last year. In 2016, 95 shooters attended this event. The attendance tripled for this year's North Regional Indoor Tournament. Indiana Scholastic 3-D Archery clubs are having a positive impact on Indiana communities from local pro shops, license sales, and students throughout Indiana.
Indiana State Coordinator, April Girvin states, "Our host club, Bass & Bucks, did a tremendous job welcoming and taking care of our shooters and their families. Looking at how many students competed this year compared to last years numbers show that we are well on our track to having a record year. Our S3DA staff and coaches are always looking to help out any child wanting to get into the S3DA program."
The National S3DA Office has received feedback from parents, coaches, and participants in the Indiana S3DA. One parent, Laura Getzen, states, "My son has been a part of the S3DA program here in Indiana for about a year now. Hats off to the National program for putting such a fabulous team in place here in Indiana. I could not be prouder to be part of such a wonderful group of people. I know I am not only speaking for myself but many other happy parents as well, when I say, as long as they're still here, our family will be part of the program here in Indiana."

Started in December 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has grown exponentially as a next step program to follow introductory programs offered as part of 4-H or the National Archery in Schools Program. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
