TenPoint Seeks Experienced Bow Engineer

This person must show a proven track record of 5+ years in crossbow or vertical bow design and an in-depth understanding of cam and limb design/interaction/relationship. The ideal candidate is an “outside the box thinker” who believes “anything is possible” and that all challenges have solutions.

The candidate we seek must have the following credentials in their career/portfolio:

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • At least five (5) years experience in designing bows/crossbows, specifically limbs and cams.
  • At least ten (10) years of knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting using SolidWorks.

Essential Duties:

  • Contribute to design, including: designing, prototyping, testing, pre-production, production tooling, product implementation, and quality control phases of a specific part of product design cycle; Design consumer goods using SolidWorks.
  • Contribute to departmental projects, including: develop engineering drawings, specifications, quality control procedures and other detailed documentation for all assigned projects; Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented and completed appropriately.
  • Assist with the destructive and non-destructive testing of new and existing parts and assemblies using a variety of methods: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), qualitative, and quantitative methods.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining dimensional analysis documentation for each part using Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD& T). Perform stack-up dimensional analysis on new and existing assemblies.
  • Assist the Engineering Department and Inspection Department with the measurement and validation of incoming parts and assemblies.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
