July 11th, 2020 the 2nd leg of the 2020 IBO National Triple Crown in Franklin PA was in session and archers from around the country were ready to compete once again. Bowtech is proud to announce that Tim Gillingham battled through some pretty adverse conditions and made it 3-in-a-row by bringing home the 1st place spot once again. To top it off, Team Bowtech Pro Shooter Keith Ahlstrom also brought home the 3rd place victory and allowed Bowtech to dominate the podium in the senior pro division.

Adverse weather conditions always test competitor’s skill, and the 2nd leg didn’t hold back. Both Tim and Keith were prepared for the conditions and ready to win. At the end of Day 1, Tim was sitting 4 points ahead of 2nd place, while Keith was sitting just out of the top 5. Day 2 both Tim and Keith performed strong and going into the shoot off Tim led the group by 2, and Keith was tied for 4th. Both made stellar performances in the shoot off to grab their respective spots on the podium, both with the Bowtech Reckoning 38.

After the win, Tim shared “The weather day one was a big issue. It rained the entire round, but I stayed strong and my Reckoning 38 hit behind the pin all day. With a two-point lead day 2, a strong shoot off performance, and the accuracy of the Reckoning 38, I was able to clinch the win and three majors in a row for Team Bowtech. I’m also proud of Bowtech teammate Keith Ahlstrom for sticking in there and working himself from the 5th spot to a 3rd place finish with a strong shoot off performance.

Regarding this weekend’s performance, Dave Parker, Bowtech Vice President of Marketing expressed “It’s exciting to see our Bowtech Pro shooters consistently standing on the top step of the podium. Tim and his Reckoning 38 are on fire and we look forward to watching Tim’s success the rest of the season.”
