Mathews Shooters Win First Legs of IBO National Triple Crown

Sparta, Wisconsin - Team Mathews kicked off the race for the IBO National Triple Crown with an electric start, winning two pro divisions in Pipestem, West Virginia.

Mathews Pro Shooter Dan McCarthy shot his way to the top in the men’s pro division. McCarthy ended the event with a score of 475 for the weekend putting him in contention for the IBO Triple Crown. Mathews Teammate Cara Kelly finished first in the women’s pro division with a score of 445. Kelly has dominated throughout the entire 3D season and looks to carry her momentum in the next two legs of the Triple Crown. Teammate Emily McCarthy captured third in the women’s pro division with a score of 427, claiming another podium finish in the event for Team Mathews.

“Both Dan and Cara are picking up where they left off last year winning the IBO World Championship,” stated Mathews Pro Staff Manager, Derek Phillips. “I’m extremely proud of all of our shooters and their dominant performance at the first leg of the Triple Crown.”
