Kentucky S3DA Hosts Indoor Regional in Madisonville, KY

Williamsburg, KY – Kentucky S3DA hosted their 2nd Indoor Regional of the 2020 season at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex (WKAC) in Madisonville, KY. This event featured 223 archers from 18 clubs and teams from across the state. More than 500 spectators were on hand for the festivities!

S3DA KY Regional Coordinator, Steve Rienstra stated, “We had a great tournament with representation from various teams and clubs from across the state. The competition was incredible with only four points separating the 1st place and 3rd place High School clubs. If this is any indication of how the rest of the season will go, I look forward to every tournament from here on out.”

Green River S3DA archer Tanner Barker said, “I thought the tournament was great, as it was ran very well. We started on time and finished early. The range officials were very knowledgeable about the rules and it was just an overall great atmosphere for an archery shoot. I am excited to be in my senior season and finish out strong before going to the collegiate level.”

“I didn’t have a lot of expectations for myself coming into the new season since I moved up to the open class. I am very happy that I was able to help contribute to our overall team score though. I think we are going to have a very competitive team this year and I am glad to be a part of it,” stated WKAC S3DA archer, Bailey Sager.

Kentucky S3DA would like to send a special thanks to all of the coaches, parents and volunteers who took time out of their day to make this event possible. Kentucky S3DA would like to thank The Rusty Sign for being a sponsor and designing the first-place team and club awards.
