Lancaster Archery Foundation Grant Coordinator Makes a Plea for Donations in September

By P.J. Reilly

Lancaster Archery Foundation’s grant coordinator is urging all those interested in growing the sport of archery to consider donating to the foundation in September to take advantage of a unique opportunity.

Dale Brubaker appears in a video podcast created by Lancaster Archery Supply discussing the mission of the Lancaster Archery Foundation, which was founded in 2019.

The foundation’s mission, Brubaker says, is to support archery and its growth wherever possible by providing grants to other nonprofit organizations.

The Lancaster Archery Foundation gives grants to a number of causes, including JOAD, S3DA, and 4-H programs, as well as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, clubs and summer camps looking to acquire new equipment to be able to introduce more kids to archery. The foundation also provides educational opportunities for archery athletes through college scholarships, and to USA Archery athletes representing the nation at self-funded, world tournaments.

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of Easton Archery, the Easton Foundations has pledged to match every donation to Lancaster Archery Foundation during the month of September, up to a maximum of $100,000.

“Every little bit helps,” Brubaker says in the podcast.

Donations can be made to the Lancaster foundation in a few ways. Customers shopping on the Lancaster Archery Supply website – www.lancasterarchery.com - can make contributions through the “round-up program feature,” which allows customers to increase their purchase total to a round number. The difference between the purchase total and the amount billed to the customer goes to the foundation. Customers can also add a fixed dollar amount to their order upon checkout on the Lancaster Archery Supply website.

Customers shopping at the Lancaster Archery ProShop, or with a Customer Service Techxpert on the phone, can add a donation to their total upon checkout. Donations also can be made as contributions given directly to the foundation through its website, www.lancasterarcheryfoundation.org.

In a feature video produced by Lancaster Archery Supply in conjunction with the Easton Foundations, Easton president Greg Easton talks about Easton’s 100 years in archery and introduces the challenge grant initiative. That video can be seen here.
