SACRAMENTO, Calif. – “Lots of Living” host Stacy Lyn Harris is joining Scott Leysath as co-host on this week’s The Sporting Chef on Sportsman Channel. Chef Leysath joins Harris in her kitchen in Alabama as she makes boiled peanuts, bacon wrapped venison loin and dove schnitzel. Joining them on the show are: Susie Jimenez, John Wallace, Cee Dub and Buddy T. Tune in for this exclusive content only on The Sporting Chef on Sportsman Channel, Sundays at 1:30 PM ET.
“When making anything wrapped in bacon, the key is to partially cook your bacon,” shared Leysath. “If you partially cook your bacon, then you aren’t overcooking your venison, or poppers, while waiting for the bacon to get crispy.”
Plus, Stacy gives a “boiled peanut 101” lesson for those viewers who didn’t grow up with this fun treat. She explains her family takes this snack on dove hunts and camps, much like some folks will bring jerky – and these peanuts are equally addictive according to Harris and Leysath.
Don’t miss on the show a new guest, John Wallace from Ohio is making a loose meat sandwich called the “Made Right Sandwich.” And regulars Susie Jimenez shows how to make a to-go lunch in a mason jar, Cee Dub finds an alternative to a whisk to whip up breakfast, and Buddy smokes crabs on his Camp Chef Smoke Pro Pellet grill.
