The Pope and Young Club Announces Mountain Archery Fest as Club’s Newest Corporate Partner

Chatfield, MN – The Pope and Young Club is proud to announce the support of Mountain Archery Fest through the Club’s Corporate Partner Program. Mountain Archery Fest (MAF) is a 3-D festival designed with both the recreational and competitive archer in mind. MAF welcomes every discipline of Archery for every age, ability, and, most importantly, families. Mountain Archery Fest has stepped forward to show their strong commitment to wildlife conservation, the protection, and defense of our bowhunting heritage and Fair-Chase ethics.

“Mountain Archery Fest’s mission is to bring a strong foundation to the sport of archery through youth and families, with a recreational and competitive mindset, strong values of ethics, heritage, and conservation,” said Brandon Waddell, Owner of Mountain Archery Festival. "I've always had a place for Pope & Young in my heart, and now I'm able to give back to the Club that has instilled strong hunting values into my life. Now it’s time to pass these on to the future of Archery. I’m grateful for the partnership!”

Mountain Archery Fest features the one and only Pope and Young World Record course. Owner Brandon Waddell had a vision for Archers to shoot at 3-D Targets that represent the 29 North American Big game World Records kept by the Pope & Young Club. The archer will recreate the shot by yardage and angle. An educational 18"x24" sign will educate shooters about the species, world record holder, and a short story of the hunt on each station. The targets and antlers are being created by Kirsch Targets to represent the proportionate World Record size of the species. This is a fantastic educational course with the beginner and intermediate shooters in mind.

"We are extremely proud to have Mountain Archery Fest join the ranks of the conservation-minded, pro-bowhunting organizations that make up our Corporate Partner program," stated Rick Mowery, Communication/Marketing Manager for the Pope and Young Club. "Their commitment to educating bowhunters about P&Y and their willingness to support our bowhunting heritage, bowhunters, and every single P&Y member, speaks volumes to their character, their commitment to bowhunting, and the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.”

The Pope and Young Club is a non-profit North American conservation and bowhunting organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of bowhunting by striving to increase awareness and appreciation of bowhunting foundations, principles, and values. The Pope and Young Club is focused on Fair Chase hunting ethics that support the ethical pursuit of free-ranging, wild game animals without unfair advantage while promoting the conservation of both habitat and wildlife. The Club also maintains the universally recognized repository of records and statistics on North American big game animals harvested with a bow and arrow.
