APPS
Toxon Technologies announced today the availability of a brand new BOWdometer mobile app experience for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The new app delivers exciting new archery experiences when using the BOWdometer archery practice companion. This new app has been designed in collaboration with archers all over the world and has been tested by a group of 75 archers.
Accubow, a virtual archery and bowhunting company, will release five new virtual bows this year. Along with launching new products, their AccuBow application is getting an update.
CONSERVATION
Bighorn sheep are rebounding across the American West thanks to strong conservation partnerships. A new interactive ArcGIS StoryMap, produced by the Partner with a Payer initiative with the Nevada Department of Wildlife, shows how funding from excise taxes on firearms, ammunition and archery equipment has helped restore bighorn in Nevada and beyond.
EVENTS
Nonprofit Raised At Full Draw (RAFD) is now accepting reservations for their summer bowhunting camps. Participants do not need experience within archery or bowhunting. If they do not have archery equipment, they will be provided equipment during camp. This camp is complete with all the skills necessary to gain the abilities, build confidence and personal growth for bowhunting/hunting.

GEAR

USA Archery is excited to announce several grant opportunities for Collegiate Archery Program coaches in 2021. It is a critical part of USA Archery’s strategic plan to provide expanded grant opportunities for collegiate programs, specifically for coach education and development.

The Archery Range and Retailers Organization found an alternative way to support the ATA and the industry in lieu of its in-person ARRO Hot Show. ARRO invested nearly $18,000 in renewing ATA 2020-21 memberships for its 133 qualifying members. Retailer members simply needed to be a former ATA member to qualify for the membership compensation.

TOURNAMENTS
Tennessee S3DA held their annual Indoor State Championship on February 19th and 20th at the Mid Tennessee Expo Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Over 200 archers from 20 S3DA teams across the state competed in this year’s event. In addition to competing for the title of State Champion, 137 archers qualified to compete for the coveted Indoor Shooter of the Year. Shooter of the Year is awarded to the archer in each division who has the highest combined score from three Indoor Regionals plus their score from the State Championship.
Gold Tip is celebrating big wins at the ASA Foley Archery Tournament after team members took home five podium finishes in the Pro Division at the highly contested ASA Pro/Am Tour 3-D match.
USA Archery kicked off the first Regional Elite Development (RED) Camps of the year. The first camp of the year in each region is also the selection event for the RED National Camp. The top two female recurve, male recurve, female compound and male compound archers are selected to attend the National Camp later this year. The National Camp is an exclusive opportunity to train at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence with the National Head Coaching Staff, RED Coaches and other subject matter experts and the camp is designed to help the highest performing athletes elevate their training even further.
