Outdoor Scholars Program releases seventh episode of Outdoor Scholars TV

The President’s Outdoor Scholars Program at the University of Montevallo has started sharing its special hunting and fishing trips with the rest of the world via its new YouTube series, "Outdoor Scholars TV."

The seventh episode, released on August 12, follows the University of Montevallo bass fishing team on the tournament trail to Lake Eufaula in Alabama and Sam Rayburn in Texas.

The UM bass fishing team finished the year ranked 10th in the country out of over 350 collegiate bass fishing teams. This was the best finish in school history. The Montevallo bass team was founded by professional angler and 2018 FLW Forrest Wood Cup champion, Clent Davis.

In addition, the Outdoor Scholars head over to Lay Lake on the Coosa River to team up with Alabama Power for a Habitat restoration project.

According to William Crawford, director of the Outdoor Scholars Program, Alabama Power has been a great partner for the Outdoor Scholars Program since the beginning. Alabama Power has spent time teaching students the importance of taking care of the environment while also educating them on career opportunities within their company.

This episode can be viewed now on the Outdoor Scholars YouTube channel.
