Kicking Bear & Shooters Archery Hit the Mark

15th Annual Kicking Bear Event in Indiana a Total Success

Linton, IN – Hundreds of youth and families gathered at Shooters Archery in Linton, Indiana for another unforgettable Kicking Bear Adventure Day. The event was a total success and countless youth were introduced to archery!

The kiddos had a blast shooting Mission and Genesis bows, Mission Crossbows, throwing tomahawks, getting their faces painted, and making new friends.

“What an awesome day of getting the youth off the streets and showing them a better way of life,” said Founding Servant Ray Howell. “The most humbling part was seeing the familiar faces of young men and women who were just kids at the very first Kicking Bear event here in Indiana 15 years ago. Now they’re bringing their own kids and introducing them to archery!”

For 20 years, Kicking Bear has been introducing at-risk youth to archery all over the nation. As this year’s camp season draws to a close, the Kicking Bear team is gearing up for bear season in Wisconsin with seven mentored youth hunts lined up.
