The Pope and Young Club Announces Election Results

Chatfield, MN - The Pope and Young Club is proud to announce the results of the 2018 Board of Directors election. The Club would like to congratulate those individuals who were elected and

sincerely thank all members who stepped forward to serve on the Board of Directors.

Changes to the board are as follows:

Jim Willems (New Mexico) re-elected as President

John D. Frost (Alaska) elected to 1st Vice-President

Ricky Krueger (Nebraska) re-elected to 2nd Vice-President

John “Jack” Culpepper (Texas) won a Directors seat

Merritt Compton (New York) won a Directors seat

I am profoundly honored to be re-elected President of the Pope and Young Club. We've made many positive accomplishments in the past four years, and I look forward to continued improvements. The Pope and Young Club has become more inclusive, more responsive and more visible than ever before. If we are going to be the national leader in all things bowhunting, we have to be able to represent all ethical, fair chase bowhunters. I will continue to make that a priority and look forward to working with the Board, our membership and anyone who has a stake in our future. Members of the Pope and Young Club are the most dedicated, hardest working people in the bowhunting community. A stronger organization will be required to keep bowhunting relevant in the coming years.  We will be reaching out to like-minded bowhunters for support all across the country.  We must all take a stand

to ensure the future of bowhunting.” - Jim Willems

"I am pleased that so many voting members of Pope and Young have supported my ideas. I am excited to be able to continue to work at the Board level on bowhunting and conservation issues. I believe that this election is a strong mandate to pursue a formal Pope and Young Mentoring Program,

which, when successful, will significantly increase the number of new bowhunters.” - John D. Frost

“I would like to express my thanks to the entire membership. I am proud to serve with these great people on the P&Y Board of Directors, and we are ready to make some great strides forward for the

Club.” - Ricky Krueger

“I am honored and humbled to serve as a Director of the Pope and Young Club. Our mission is to ensure bowhunting for future generations by preserving and promoting its heritage and values, so please join me, and this great organization, as we continue moving forward to protect bowhunting, drive conservation efforts, and promote the ethics of fair chase bowhunting. The Pope and Young Club represents the best opportunity for every bowhunter to get involved in something

bigger.” - Jack Culpepper

“I am grateful to everyone who supported me during this past election. As a Director, I will continue to hold steadfast to the time-honored traditions that this Club was founded upon, but I'm also looking forward to bringing the Club current with today's bowhunters. There is much to do, and I hope to serve the members of this great organization to the very best of my abilities. Thank you again for your support!" - Merritt Compton
