ATHENS, GA – The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) recently welcomed two new interns for the fall semester. Leah Bell and Jaden Bjorklund join the Conservation Department under Director Kip Adams.

“We are very pleased to welcome both Leah and Jaden as the next installment of Conservation Interns to the QDMA,” said Matt Ross, QDMA Assistant Director of Conservation. “They both bring a strong yet diverse set of skills to the table for us, and we’re really looking forward to offering them each real-world opportunities in the workplace related to wildlife management, conservation and our hunting heritage.”

Bell is currently a Senior at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeking a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology and management. She has served as a teaching assistant, a freelance writer for Deer & Deer Hunting magazine, as well as a wildlife technician for the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Bjorklund is a recent graduate of Saint John’s University in Minnesota where he played football and majored in environmental studies. He has experience working as a forestry intern, a student land manager for the university, and as an operations coordinator intern for a topsoil company.

Both Bell and Bjorklund will serve as QDMA interns from July 1 through December 31, 2019. Future internship opportunities with QDMA will be posted on the Employment Page.
