Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews delivered a strong finish in the 2017 ASA season this past weekend at the ASA Classic in Cullman, Alabama, including two Shooter of the Year titles, and a first place finish in Women's Open Pro.
Levi Morgan and Kailey Johnston finished the seven tournament season with the most points, clinching the most coveted award in 3D archery - 2017 ASA Shooter of the Year titles in both Men's Pro and Women's Pro.
Sharon Carpenter took home first place in the final tournament of the Women's Pro division. Men's Pros Joseph Goza and Levi Morgan finished in second and third, while teammate David Rosenbalm landed in third after Saturday's shoot off.
"Our team dominated 3D archery this season," stated Mathews Pro Staff Manager Derek Phillips. "Our two new target models, the Halon X Comp and the TRX, were consistently on the podium all year."
ASA Pro Division competitors shoot two rounds of twenty targets from unmarked distances. These targets vary in distance up to 50 yards and the five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot down to decide the winner. At the end of the season, the competitor who has accumulated the most points wins Shooter of the Year.
