Outdoor Channel Weekly Programming Highlights
Quitting Work on "Duck Dynasty"; Shooting Through Glass on "Hollywood Weapons"; Stopping Poachers on "Carter's W.A.R." and True Grit on "Friday Night at the Movies"

DENVER (April 13, 2017) Outdoor Channel viewers will have exciting programming to enjoy during the week of April 17–23, as the Duckmen on Duck Dynasty experience some shake ups; the host of Hollywood Weapons tests the reality of a thrilling scene from Die Hard; Ivan Carter travels to Mozambique on Carter's W.A.R. and the 2010 western film, True Grit, closes out the week.

Four episodes of Duck Dynasty start the week on Outdoor Channel. First, the Duck Commander assembly room experiences an unexpected shakeup when a disgruntled Si decides to quit his job. Then, Willie receives a "priceless" samurai sword, which he tries to keep out of the hands of Jase and the guys. Next, with Willie out of town, the guys decide to ditch work to brush up the duck blinds on the Robertson land. Finally, following a minor car accident caused by Willie, Si rents a mobility scooter to get around. Back-to-back episodes of the captivating new series, Hollywood Weapons closes out Monday night. Using the same Beretta 92 handgun as in Die Hard, host Terry Schappert re-enacts the iconic scene where John McClane (Bruce Willis) finds himself dangling from the side of a building and must shoot through the glass window and break away to safety. Then, from the classic western The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Schappert recreates the scene in which Clint Eastwood (aka "Blondie") saves Eli Wallach's character from the hangman's noose on three separate occasions by shooting and severing the rope that he hangs from.

Friday night on Carter's W.A.R., Ivan joins the foremost anti-poaching team in Mozambique to bring down a specific group of poachers who have been killing local elephants for their ivory. Friday Night at the Movies ends the week with True Grit, starring Jeff Bridges as "Rooster" Cogburn, a tough U.S. Marshal who helps a stubborn teenager track down her father's murderer.
