Reo Wilde Takes Bronze in Archery World Final

West Henrietta, NY – Elite Pro Shooter Reo Wilde won the Bronze Medal in the Archery World Final in Odense, Denmark this past weekend.

The city of Odense saw beautiful weather over the weekend. The unpredictable and gusty breeze added a challenge to the ultra-precise sport. Wilde overcame the challenges and had a strong performance with his Elite bow. He out performed the 23-year-old Evren Cagiran from Turkey in the quarterfinals. After a long battle, the Elite archer came out on top with a winning score of 144 to 143 to advance to the semifinals.

Wilde then faced Seppie Cilliers of South Africa in the semifinals in an intense back and forth match. The archers matched the other's arrows almost the entire set. Cilliers pulled forward with a perfect score and continued to consistently shoot 10's. Cilliers beat Wilde by only one point (144-143).

Wilde's performance placed him in the Bronze final against Domagoj Buden of Croatia. Reo, down by one after the first five arrows, was up by one after the sixth, giving him a lead over Buden. A string of perfect and near-perfect shots led Reo to the win with a final score of 145 to 143 and a Bronze Medal.
"It was a great experience," said Wilde about the Odense Final. "The venue was super cool and everyone who was there was amazing. I felt that my Elite and I shot as good as anyone there. I had the highest total score over the three matches, I just missed at the wrong times. That said, I'm pleased coming home with the bronze and excited about what next year will bring! I'm thrilled at how my first year with my Elite was and all I've been able to do with it. Next year will be fun."
