LDWF Postpones Alligator Hunting Info Meetings

August 17, 2016 – Widespread flooding in southern Louisiana has prompted the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) to postpone Wednesday's (Aug. 17) alligator lottery and commercial hunt information meetings for Joyce, Manchac, Maurepas Swamp, and Pearl River Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) until Aug. 24.

The meetings will be held in the Louisiana Room on the first floor of the LDWF headquarters building at 2000 Quail Drive in Baton Rouge. The lottery meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with the commercial meeting to follow at 1 p.m.

Licenses and tags will be provided after each meeting.
