West Henrietta, NY- July 18, 2016: The Outdoor Group (TOG), parent company to premier brands Elite Archery, CAMX Crossbows, Duel Game Calls, Lynch Mob Calls, Scott Archery, Custom Bow Equipment, Winner's Choice Custom Bowstrings, Solid Broadheads and Slick Trick Broadheads is currently seeking to fill the position of Design Engineer. The Design Engineer would report to the Director of Engineering and work in conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders to innovate, and develop ideas into manufacturable and marketable products in the outdoor industry.

In addition you must be able to perform the following Essential Functions:
1. Research, Develop, and Test new product innovations in the Archery and Outdoor Category.
2. Generate Engineering Drawings and Specifications to manufacture premium outdoor equipment.
3. Develop, Test, and Validate designs and concepts, including preparing new products for delivery to manufacturing.
4. Plan, organize, and execute conceptual and detail design work to support new product introductions, or adjustments to existing product lines.
5. Utilize a creative development process to conceptualize new ideas.
6. Develops products to the highest standard of performance, cost effectiveness, and manufacturability.
7. Generate Design documentation, prints, Bill of Materials for release to manufacturing.
8. Manage time and resources effectively, including completing multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Ability to clearly communicate technical information to a Non-technical group.
10. Manage projects, track status, resolve issues, and deliver products that achieve or exceed project requirements for performance, budget, and time.
11. Prepare technical documents (test reports, specifications).
12. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
Develop validation plan for new products and complete testing on prototypes and production parts.
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Analyze and validate designs using FEA software.
Be self-Motivated, driven and passionate.
This position operated out of operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and requires eligible persons to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. In this role you can expect to travel 5-10%.
Ideal candidates will have the following Education and Experience:
BS in Mechanical Engineering; or 5-10 years of equivalent engineering experience
3+ years of design experience, preferably in consumer products.
Strong technical background in design and manufacturing
Skilled in Solidworks or equivalent CAD software
