Mystery Ranch Pack Company Seeks Hunting Line Sales Manager

Bozeman, MT. – MYSTERY RANCH, an industry-leading pack company with multiple product lines focused on function, comfort, quality and durability, is looking to fill a Hunting Sales Manager position within the Bozeman, Mont.-based company.

This particular position centers on a detail-focused person with established relationships in the industry and an engrained passion the sport. Mystery Ranch is looking for a self-starter to lead the sales effort within the hunting channel of business.

In addition to possessing a strong sense of confidence and authority in his/her convictions, the Hunting Sales Manager will collaborate on all of the business issues related to hunting. This includes managing an external sales force, in addition to travelling to key dealer presentations, trade shows and events to support the business. This individual will work closely with the product team to provide feedback from the marketplace that shapes our merchandise mix.

There will also be a strong need to work with internal operation personnel for planning responsibilities and with marketing personnel in terms of what these category lines will face, including sourcing, sales channels and the challenge of brand marketing outside of Mystery Ranch's current customer base. The Hunting Sales Manager should be ready to articulate a vision for the company's future in expanded markets. Most vital to this role will be attitudinally assessing the revenue opportunities and mix of dealers carrying the program so Mystery Ranch is able to deliver complete and on time to perpetuate growth.

Key Accountabilities:
Develop an annual revenue plan within the hunting channel and deliver to this plan. Ingredients of this will be building core dealers, adding new dealers and exploring new market opportunities—ne of which is the whitetail market. The right candidate will accomplish this while maintaining high integrity for our brand image.

Provide market intelligence from the USA and Canadian markets so the product managers and the product team understand the competitive landscape so that Mystery Ranch packs have a clearly defined opportunity in the assortment plans of our retailers. This is inclusive of competitors, color trending and sell-through feedback.

Develop sell-through strategies in working with the marketing team to ensure success at point of sale. This will happen through sales materials and training curriculum/clinic sessions with dealers.

Work with customer service representatives to accurately gather and input the retailer orders and to communicate effectively regarding Mystery Ranch delivery schedules.

Work with purchasing, production and shipping departments to understand and target customer's logistical delivery needs and help create a structure to effectively deliver complete and on time.

To approve all new hunting retailers.

To deliver the contributions needed to the product development process on time, in full.

To present ranges at key sales launch, and key account meetings as directed by vice president.

Deliver to the company sales intelligence and knowledge of the competitive landscape, retailer sell-through success and where Mystery Ranch products fit in this landscape. This will be accomplished through market visits and retailer sell-through data.

Attend national and critical regional tradeshows and market visits. The scope of these travels will entail arranging logistics, setting up meetings with retailers, developing contacts and gaining more market intelligence.

Qualifications:
4 year college degree (or equivalent work experience)

Experience:
Required: Minimum 2-3+ years' experience as a sales representative
Preferred: Specialty retail, sales and marketing experience in the hunting industry
