Louisville, KY – July 22, 2015 – S3DA announces the addition of Rachel Kirby to the Louisville, KY. staff. Rachel brings a strong background in education and a passion for archery to her new position. As Office Manager of S3DA, she will be the chief administrator for the organization.

"Each and every day I get the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of people to help shape the lives of kids all across the United States. In my short time with S3DA I have witnessed the addition of many new states, new shooters and new partnerships. I am excited about helping S3DA continue to grow."

"Rachel joins us from the Educational Field and has great leadership qualities, says Jennie Richardson, Executive Director for S3DA. "She is personable, easy to communicate with, self-motivated and works great independently. But more importantly, she really knows archery. She has already allowed me focus more on grants, fundraising and building Scholastic 3-D Archery. We could not have come up with a better office manager for this organization."

S3DA provides 3-D archery opportunities for youth in afterschool settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in their communities. S3DA places special emphasis on archery education, conservation, and bowhunting. Started in December 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has grown exponentially as a next step program to follow introductory programs offered as part of 4-H or the National Archery in Schools Program. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates in 23 states with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
