Michael Lundeen Named S3DA National Director

London, KY – June 10th, 2015 – S3DA (Scholastic 3D Archery) has named Michael Lundeen of Vero Beach, Florida as their new National Director. As the S3DA National Director, Michael will be responsible for scheduling and facilitating advance instructor training across the US and Internationally. He will provide updates to training materials and create additional curriculum while maintaining contact with state coordinators, providing tournament information, rules and procedures. As the new S3DA National Director, Michael will make presentations to the state coordinators conference, the ATA Summit and attend the ATA show, Pope and Young Club Convention and the NFAA World Archery Festival.

"Archery is not just an activity for me, it is a lifestyle," says Michael Lundeen, S3DA's new National Director. "I am very excited to bring my extensive knowledge of archery and business to the Scholastic 3-D Archery. I have been involved with the sport now in excess of 20 years and look forward to using my abilities to lead S3DA toward its goals and growing the organization to its fullest potential."

"If I were to make a list of skills needed to perfect with our program, it would look like Mike
Lundeen's resume," says Jennie Richardson, S3DA's Executive Director. "Mike has a
business degree, has owned his own company and is a USAA Level 4 Coach.
Personable, friendly and extremely easy to work with, both Mike and his professional
archer wife Erica Lundeen, love sharing their passion for archery with kids and new
coaches. Everyone that has worked with Mike loves his outgoing personality, leadership skills and guidance, so I'm sure our state coordinators will love working with him as well. I look forward to working with Mike and helping him coordinate and implement the training needed to bring new states and countries that have already expressed interest, onboard with our program."

S3DA provides 3-D archery opportunities for youth in afterschool settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in their communities. S3DA places special emphasis on archery education, conservation, and bowhunting. Started in December 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has grown exponentially as a next step program to follow introductory programs offered as part of 4-H or the National Archery in Schools Program. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates in 17 states with 325 certified coaches, serving more than 3,000 youth in grades 3–12.
