SCI Foundation Conservation Scholarship Application Deadline Apr. 15

Tucson, AZ -- Joseph Hosmer, President Safari Club International (SCI) Foundation, announced today that the deadline for college students interested in applying for Safari Club International Foundation conservation scholarships will be April 15, 2015. SCI Foundation has two types of conservation scholarships; two for undergraduate students and one for graduate and post graduate students majoring in a conservation related field of study.

Since 2000 SCI Foundation has awarded a total of $343,000 to 74 scholars attending colleges throughout the United States.

Entering college freshman are eligible to apply for the Four Year Undergraduate Conservation Scholarship.

Junior and senior undergraduate students majoring in a conservation related field of study are eligible to apply for the Two Year Upper level College Conservation Scholarship. In addition, graduate and post graduate students are eligible for this scholarship.

SCI Foundation Scholarship Applications will be reviewed with scholarship awards made in May 2015 with six students awarded scholarships. Contact the SCI Foundation Education Department to obtain an application and for more information at (520) 620-1220 ext. 231.

Since 2004, SCIF Sables contributed a total of $500,000 to fully endow scholarships at five selected universities with scholars for the endowed scholarships selected by the college. Endowed Sables Hunting Heritage Scholarships are: C.J. McElroy, West Virginia University, Susan & John Monson, University of Montana, Gus and Elaine Vogeler, University of Idaho, Joe Leta Scholarship, Unity College in Maine, and SCIF Sables University of Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Recently, SCI Foundation established the Don McMillan Law School endowed scholarship at Hamline University in Minnesota.
