NEW BERLIN, WI (March 2, 2015) – Whether it's protecting a family, a city, or an entire nation, this week's back-to-back episodes of http://www.thesportsmanchannel.com/shows/amazing-america/">Amazing America with Sarah Palin showcase men and women with the tenacity to protect and serve in all facets of life. From bomb squads to hunting with our nation's military heroes, to prepping for disaster, field hosts Tara Conner and Jerry Carroll are called to help share the heart-pounding and explosive stories. Tune in for the hour-long special on Thursday, March 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

The Bristol City Bomb Squad – responsible for protecting the largest venue in the Bristol, Tenn. area, the Bristol Motor Speedway – trains diligently to ensure the safety of visitors, drivers and pit crews. The venue, attracting nearly 170,000 people during races, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, as the squad must prepare to diffuse any situation that comes their way. Conner visits the Speedway and suits up to experience explosive training exercises.

The episode continues, as Carroll heads to Zolfo Springs, Fla. to meet with the Black Dagger Military Hunt Club – an organization dedicated to hosting shooting and hunting events to raise money for veterans. Carroll goes hog wild on a night vision hunt with several veterans who share their inspiring stories.

"I had the honor of meeting so many brave men and women while filming these episodes," said Conner. "But the most thrilling part for me was getting to experience the bomb squad training. I had no idea how much pressure these guys are under to ensure the safety of so many people."

Carroll's experience at Black Dagger left an indelible mark. "This isn't just a hunting trip for veterans, it's a form of therapy and a way to stay connected to those going through similar experiences," said Carroll. "It truly was an honor hearing stories and hunting hogs with such a great group a people."

Next, Conner visits Todd Nichols, a 22-year veteran in the Army, including 14 years in the Green Berets, and five recent deployments. Following his tours, Nichols remains an avid outdoorsman. Conner heads to Nichols' hometown of Nashville, Tenn. to hear the stories behind his harrowing career and embarks on a hunt for whitetail deer.

Finally, the special episode ends with a visit to Kansas where Conner tours a $1.5 million home built 15 stories below the ground. This "prepper" survival condo is built to withstand disaster. Viewers will get a first-hand look at luxury living underground.
