Elite's Chance Beaubouef Wins Midwest Open

Henrietta NY, December 15, 2014: In his first competitive showing as the newest member of the Elite Archery team, Professional Archer, Chance Beaubouef, proved the difference Shootability can make with his Elite Victory. Chance helped to close out what was already an exceptional year for the Elite Archery professional shooting staff by taking top honors in the 2014 Midwest Open. With a field of more than 420 shooters, Chance was only three points down from a perfect score for the weekend.

"Everything always shoots great at home so it's a challenge to see how a new bow is going to shoot during the high pressure situations of competition. I can't say enough how impressed I am with my new Elite Victory. I had a great weekend at the Midwest Open - pulling out the win. The Victory aims like no bow I've ever had before and I'm ready to spend some time behind it this season. I'm very excited to see what 2015 will bring for me and Elite." stated Chance.

Hosted by the McLean County Archery Club, the annual 2014 Midwest Open Indoor Archery Tournament brought more than 425 shooters to the Interstate Center in Bloomington, IL for the 2-day event. Finishing the first day clean with a score of 360 with 59 x's, Chance entered day two with confidence he could walk away with the top spot. However, a change from a 5-spot target to Vegas face also brought a change in Chance's shooting. In a rollercoaster of ends with extremely competitive shooting, the win came down to the last six arrows where Chance made good on a series of errant arrows from the leader to avoid a shoot off and bring home victory. With a final day two score of 327 out of 330 and a total score of 687 out of 690 this marks Chances first professional accomplishment with an Elite.

"2014 has been an incredible year for the Elite Pro shooters. From our many accomplishments on the 3D circuit to this indoor win, we're anxious to see what our team will achieve in 2015. Chance put a giant exclamation point on the year and kicked off the 2015 shooting season on the right foot." said Elite Archery President, Peter Crawford
