Backwoods Life hosts Kevin Knighton hits the woods of Northeastern Missouri with Travis Fleer, owner of Spikes N Spurs Outfitters, on this week's show. Kevin hunts the opening of Archery season and has a close encounter with a nice buck then he returns with his Hawke Optics in hand to hunt the rut during rifle season. Kevin also shares a very special moment with Travis as his Grandfather is presented a Purple Heart, which he earned in the Korean War. Kevin also gets the honor to hunt with one of the Spikes-N-Spurs hunters and film him killing the largest buck of his life.
"The Missouri rifle season hits right in line with the prime time of the rut, it's a great time to be in the woods and we look forward to it each year", says Knighton. "Travis has a great place here loaded with big bucks. Several Boone and Crockett's have been tagged on his properties and it just keeps you excited when in camp."
