The impact of the widely popular 'Swamp People' series resonates immediately as people from all walks of life begin approaching Jay Paul and RJ for autographs and pictures before they begin eating their first meal in Uvalde, Texas. After sighting in their rifles, it does not take long before Jay Paul spots a tremendous buck dubbed, "crab claw". The enormous old buck shows himself and Jay Paul makes the most of his first night on the hunt with a clean harvest.
Not to be outdone, RJ brushes off earlier adversity and gets back into the ground blind and locates a mature buck to his liking. His patience pays dividends this time around and he makes the most of his first Texas hunt - Cajun style!
"It was a privilege to bring in Jay Paul and RJ for their first Texas whitetail hunt," said Mike Stroff, co-host of Savage Outdoors. "The guys are funny and dedicated hunters and made the most of their hunts and time in Texas. RJ took a colossal buck ("crab claw") that we have been hunting for the last three years. The hunt could not have been done by a better bunch of guys."
"We had the time of our lives hunting with Mike and the Savage Outdoors team," said Jay Paul Molinere, 'Swamp People'. "I can't believe I was able to take a buck on my first trip to Texas. This was a humbling experience and one I will never forget. There is a lot of crossover interest with our show and Savage Outdoors and I know our fans will enjoy this adventure."
