YETI Joins Boone and Crockett Club’s 30th Big Game Awards

MISSOULA, Mont. – YETI has added their name to the list of sponsors for the Boone and Crockett Club’s 30th Big Game Awards, scheduled for August 1-3, 2019, in Springfield, Missouri.

A triennial event, the 30th Big Game Awards is being hosted by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s and will feature a public exhibit of 128 recently taken, high-ranking B&C trophies from across North America, including records book specimens taken by young sportsmen age 16 and under. The exhibit is within the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield and will be open through August 3.

“For many they may just be mounts on a wall, but to sportsmen, big game trophies mean much more,” said Boone and Crockett Club President Timothy C. Brady. “Big game trophies represent a respect and passion for the land and its wildlife, which thankfully translated into an incredibly successful conservation movement. We are reminded of this every time we see a trophy, big or small. That’s what we’re celebrating here.”

Boone and Crockett Club began keeping trophy records in 1906 as a way of detailing species once headed for extinction. Today, the existence of mature, male animals is a sign of species population health and habitat quality. Biologists compare and contrast B&C records data to improve local management strategies as well as state and federal wildlife policies.

“The theme of this year’s event - North American Big Game, More and Healthier Than Ever - is a testament to the hard work the Boone and Crockett Club has put into both conservation and education for more than a century,” said YETI Senior Director of Community Marketing Bill Neff. “YETI is a proud partner of the Boone and Crocket Club year-round, and it is an honor to sponsor its 30th Big Game Awards.”

Brady explained, “Bringing home healthy, organic, humanely harvested food is a hallmark of our hunting heritage. Another is then sharing this bounty with friends and family. Our partners at YETI understand this and we’re proud to have them participate in our 30th Big Game Awards.”

YETI joins Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, the Wild Sheep Foundation, Federal Premium Ammunition, Dallas Safari Club, Buck Knives, the Mule Deer Foundation, NRA, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the Robert M. Lee Foundation as 30th Big Game Awards sponsors.
